Blog Assignment #1: Filmmakers Statement – What film related experiences have you had? What do you hope to learn in this course? Where do you hope to be in 10 years as a filmmaker/artist? What is something unique (not film related) that we don’t know about you? I have never worked on a set, but I’ve been getting really into photography lately - I shoot on a Nikon d3400 in manual mode, so I’m familiar with how to properly expose a shot with the shutter, aperture, and iso. I have a background in traditional art (painting, drawing) so I’m familiar with composition. I really enjoy following my friends around on their errands and trying to frame what they’re doing with my camera. I feel like it allows me to appreciate the beauty in our world more - it’s always there but it’s much more apparent when framed well.
